XDefiant is a faction-based multiplayer PvP shooter, where each faction holds access to certain abilities and skills. While the upcoming insider session will only include current-gen consoles and PC, XDefiant will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One when it launches. The game still doesn't have a release date, but the developers have tried to get feedback from the community multiple times through testing sessions. Although Ubisoft canceled a number of free-to-play projects in the past few years, XDefiant's development continues. XDefiant is making waves in the FPS community with its closed beta, allowing players to get familiar with the weapons, Factions, maps, and modes before Ubisoft reveal an official release date for the future free-to-play shooter. XDefiant is the upcoming multiplayer first-person arena shooter from the team at Ubisoft San Francisco and it’s launching later this year, free-to-play on all platforms including Xbox One, Xbox Series SX, PlayStation 45 and Windows PC. XDefiant was originally announced back in 2021. This includes the absence of the Cleaners faction from the test due to a certain bug. At the time of writing, the game is approaching an Open Session beta and many players are trying to game out for themselves. Still, I wouldnt hold my breath for a 2021 release, considering Ubisoft just delayed Rainbow Six Extraction into 2022. Regarding the fact that the game is still under development, Ubisoft has also shared a number of known issues that participants will encounter in the upcoming insider session. A specific release date for XDefiant has not yet been set, but Ubisoft has confirmed it is targeting Summer, 2023. With the release date set for later this summer, players dont have to wait long to experience the action-packed gameplay of this free-to-play. As a first-person shooter game, XDefiant is one of the most exciting new games of the year for fans of the genre. Prior to the beginning of the matches, participants will get 15 minutes of warm-up time to get everything ready for the experience and make sure they are familiar with how the game works. Ubisofts XDefiant has gained significant momentum following its initial rocky start. Unlike previous playtest sessions, your experience will not be limited to 3 hours. It features a lot of similarities to other FPS games such as Call of Duty, but puts its own spin on the arena shooter genre.Unfortunately there isnt a confirmed release date for the full game, but the Closed Beta allows players to get a taste of the action. The test session will begin on February 16 at 1 PM ET/6 PM GMT and will come to an end on February 20 at 2 AM ET/7 AM GMT. XDefiant is a brand new FPS game developed by the team at Ubisoft.
